\ Two million euros in subsidies will be allocated for the hiring of these agents. Their task will be to make a diagnosis of the needs and infrastructures available in terms of joint responsibility and conciliation in the municipalities of the islands.
The Government continues the deployment of the Conciliation and Co-responsibility Plan, endowed with 158 million euros and consisting of 115 measures, divided into labor, socio-educational and local axes. Specifically, the Ministry of Presidency, Public Function and Equality has launched today a call for grants worth two million euros so that the municipalities of the Balearic Islands can hire agents of co-responsibility and reconciliation, the main measure of the local axis of the Plan.

The purpose of this call is to promote and consolidate co-responsibility in the Balearic Islands through the creation of a network of co-responsibility and conciliation agents for local entities, which are the ones who know first-hand the needs and shortcomings in their territory, and which will allow the service coverage to reach all parts of the islands.

This call is financed with funds from the Spanish Government’s Corresponsables Plan and is aimed at granting subsidies to finance the total salary costs, including Social Security contributions, arising from the hiring of co-responsibility and conciliation agents by local entities.

Councilor Mercedes Garrido stressed that “with this call we are giving the green light to one of the main measures of the 2021-2024 Conciliation and Co-responsibility Plan, which is already being implemented with the increase in places for children from 0 to 3 years old, the reform and construction of new schools and the creation and improvement of social services”.

The co-responsibility and conciliation agents have the following functions:

Identify the municipal resources for conciliation currently existing in the municipality.
To review and improve the economic conditions of access to the offer of work-life balance resources.
Raise awareness and sensitize in favor of a socially responsible behavior at the municipal level.
Promote the creation of resource management departments for work-life balance.
To elaborate the Plan of Co-responsibility and Work-Life Balance of their municipality, with the content provided for in the regional plan.

Interested entities must submit one application per project, within twenty days, in accordance with the model available on the website of the General Directorate for Coordination, Relations with Parliament, Rights and Diversity (http://cpresidencia.caib.es/). The project has to describe the characteristics of the job position, as well as the tasks to be carried out by the hired person. It has an expected duration of one year. The contracts must be adjusted to the temporary scope of the project and must be formalized with an expected duration of one year and full time.

For municipalities with between 4,000 and 20,000 inhabitants, only one project can be submitted to hire a co-responsibility and conciliation agent. For municipalities with a population of more than 20,000 inhabitants, only one project can be submitted to hire two agents. Municipalities with a population of less than 4,000 inhabitants must apply through their respective associations of municipalities, which may submit projects to hire one or two co-responsibility and conciliation agents, depending on the number of inhabitants of the municipalities that comprise them. When this number is higher than 4,000, one co-responsibility agent, and when it is higher than 20,000, two agents.
