This edition counts once again with the involvement of the seven Catalan-speaking territories: Alghero, Andorra, Catalonia, Northern Catalonia, the Aragon Strip, the Balearic Islands and the Valencian Country. Each territory is represented by the Government of the Balearic Islands, the Government of Catalonia, the Government of Andorra, the Government of Valencia, the Government of Aragon, the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia in Italy and the House of the Government of Catalonia in Perpignan.
During the week of November 5 to 12, all users who wish to do so will edit entries in the Viquipèdia on music sung in Catalan to improve and expand the contents of all the elements (works, lyrics, musicians, styles, leap of faith, performances, recordings, etc.), profiles (composers, performers, singer-songwriters, groups, etc.) and genres (choral, popular song, singer-songwriter, pop-rock, trap, etc.) of all periods. At the same time, the creation of new articles and the translation of existing content into other languages is also proposed.
This initiative will be disseminated through social networks with the hashtag #ViquiLlengua7x7, in order to increase the participation of connoisseurs of the various styles and volunteers representative of the entire Catalan linguistic domain. People who want to participate in the Viquillengua have to sign up in advance and will be able to enjoy a free weekly digital subscription to the Enderrock magazine to document themselves for the duration of the Viquimarató. Users who already have a Viquipèdia account can register directly for the event. The rest of the interested users have to send an email to coordinacio@wikimedia.cat.
In addition, Amical Wikimedia will offer an online workshop on basic notions of editing Viquipèdia for those who want to get started. This training can be followed on Friday, November 5th, at 17.00 h, through the YouTube channel.
