The Department of Social Affairs and Sports, through the Directorate General for Sports, has announced a grant of 150,000 euros for the organisation and implementation of high-level sporting events scheduled between 1 November last year and 31 October 2022, both included.
This represents an increase of 40,000 euros, 36.4% over the previous call.
For the third consecutive call, entities that receive any type of aid or sponsorship from bookmakers or gambling companies are excluded, regardless of whether or not this aid is used to cover the costs of the event that is the object of the subsidy.
The purpose of the call is to support projects of special relevance that have an impact on the promotion of high-level sport, through the organisation of sporting events in the Balearic Islands.
The beneficiaries of these subsidies may be sports clubs and sports federations registered in the Register of Sports Entities of the Balearic Islands, as well as the territorial delegations of the Spanish sports federations listed in the same register.
The deadline for submitting applications is April 12th, following the publication of the call for applications this Tuesday in the BOIB (Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands).
