The call has a budget of €3,621,025 within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Next Generation funds, which are managed by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda and which have been transferred to the Government of the Balearic Islands.
There are four lines of eligible actions:
- Scrapping
- Acquisition of low-carbon alternative energy vehicles.
- Retrofitting or modification of the propulsion of vehicles
- Implementation of electric vehicle recharging infrastructure.
In the case of scrapping, the unit amount of the subsidy can be up to 25,000 euros. A maximum aid limit of thirty vehicles per beneficiary and call is established, except for individuals, who have a limit of one per beneficiary. Up to 45% of the amount available in the call for proposals (1.6 million euros) may be used for this activity.
With regard to the purchase of new alternative energy vehicles, a small company and a self-employed person can benefit from up to 200,000 euros for the purchase of an electric or hydrogen vehicle. The call plans to subsidise this line with a minimum of 40% of the available amount (1.4 million euros).
And if we are talking about the implementation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, the unit amount of the subsidy can reach 70,000 euros for a battery charging point for electric vehicles installed and with access for heavy vehicles, with power equal to or greater than 350 kW.
Applications can be submitted using the form available at the Electronic Headquarters of the Government of the Balearic Islands (seuelectronica.caib.es) and on the website of the Directorate General for Mobility and Land Transport (transports.caib.es).
