For this reason, the Vice-Presidency of the Government and Regional Ministry of Energy Transition, Productive Sectors and Democratic Memory, through the Directorate General for Participation, Transparency and Volunteering, has made available to volunteer entities, organisations, administrations and individuals the website Volunteering Initiative Ukraine: Humanitarian aid initiatives to alleviate the effects of the war in Ukraine.

A space that aims to bring together information on the different initiatives being carried out on the islands, with the aim of helping to coordinate actions and serving as a point of information on the different options available to citizens to support the Ukrainian people.

Available on the Government’s Volunteer Portal, the new website includes access to practical information on Cooperation Funds and other links of interest, as well as contact information.

The Vice President and Minister for Energy Transition, Productive Sectors and Democratic Memory, Juan Pedro Yllanes, pointed out that “coordination between institutions, entities and civil society is essential for all the efforts being made to help Ukraine to come to fruition. The Islands are a land of welcome and we are also a land of solidarity, which is why we want humanitarian aid to reach where it is most needed. From the Govern we are making this platform available to guarantee this coordination and join forces”.
