Monitoring data on the pandemic in schools

The Regional Ministry of Education and Vocational Training today reported that 54 teachers are currently on sick leave in public schools in the Balearic Islands (52 last week). By islands, 49 in Mallorca (45 last week), 0 in Menorca (4 last week), 3 in Ibiza (3 last week) and 2 in Formentera (0 last week). This figure represents 0.33% of the teaching staff in public schools (out of a total of 16,000).

On the other hand, according to data provided by the Conselleria de Salud y Consumo, the accumulated positives in the last 7 days among the population aged 3 to 16 years is a total of 331 (288 last week). By islands, 263 in Mallorca (234 last week), 53 in Menorca (45 last week), 14 in Ibiza (9 last week) and 1 in Formentera (0 last week). This number represents 0.25% of the student body (out of a total of 129,884).

Finally, schools have not reported any quarantined groups as of today, as they did last week.
