Therefore, following Inca’s adhesion to Mallorca Rural, the Town Council will present a project for a line of subsidies from the LEADER programme, for the addition and improvement of Inca’s rural roads. Specifically, this action is aimed at improving the mobility of the rural world of the municipality, in order to ensure the proper transport and supply of its product and, therefore, help improve its competitiveness and the viability of agricultural and livestock farms.
The aim of this project is, therefore, to improve and adapt different rural roads, and clean and recover the dry walls of the roads in order to recover the landscape and rural heritage. The budget foreseen for this action is 263,092.23 euros and it is expected to be carried out in 2022.
The Mallorca Rural Association is a non-profit entity that was created in 2002 as a joint initiative of the Consell de Mallorca, the Unió de Cooperatives Agràries de Balears (UCABAL) and the Associació de Finques d’Agroturisme de Mallorca, to energise the rural area of Mallorca and to do so, especially through the European Union’s LEADER+ Community Initiative. For this reason, one of its main functions is the implementation of the Estratègia de Desenvolupament Local Participation (EDLP) for the rural area of Mallorca in the framework of measure 19.2 of the Programa de Desenvolupament Rural de les Illes Balears (Rural Development Programme of the Balearic Islands). In this sense, the Group is responsible for managing the aid applications, supervising the projects and always sending to FOGAIBA all the documentation that shapes these files.
