The Regional Ministry of Education and Vocational Training has published in the BOIB number 46, of April 5, 2022, the Resolution of the Regional Minister of Education and Vocational Training of March 29, 2022 by which the Extraordinary Awards for Higher Vocational Training in the area of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands for the academic year 2020-2021 are called.

This call is aimed at students who during the academic year 2020-2021 have studied and passed, both in public centers and in private or subsidized centers of this autonomous community, a cycle of higher vocational training, either in the mode of classroom teaching or in the mode of distance learning. In this sense, and among other requirements, the students who opt for the award must have obtained as final grade of the training cycle a score equal or higher than 8.5.

On the other hand, an extraordinary award may be granted for each professional family with higher level training cycles taught in the Balearic Islands, with an endowment of 1,000.00 € each. Obtaining the Extraordinary Award of Higher Vocational Training gives the option, after registration, to compete for the National Awards of Higher Vocational Training organized by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.

Students who obtain an extraordinary award in a higher level vocational training cycle granted by the competent ministry or by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of the Balearic Islands Government may be eligible for a total exemption from tuition fees for first-year credits of official university degree courses for which they are enrolled for the first time at the University of the Balearic Islands.
