SFM completes refurbishment work at Es Caülls station

These works have a budget of more than 70,000 euros.
Servicios Ferroviarios de Mallorca has concluded the refurbishment works it was carrying out in Es Caülls station. This action includes actions to facilitate and maintain the station in good condition. At the same time, elements that were deteriorated due to the effects of vandalism have been rehabilitated.

The work carried out at Es Caülls consisted of the complete refurbishment of the entire roof structure protecting the platforms and the rest of the exterior metal structures, the installation of a gate for vehicle and machinery access, the installation of new locks throughout the station adapted to the current SFM system, and also the installation of a new signpost indicating the station. Special anti-rust paint has also been applied to all the refurbished metal structures.

These works are part of a general contractor that includes actions at different stations, such as the complete refurbishment of the metal staircases outside the platforms at Son Fuster station, which allow access to the station from Ter street, and the repair of the guardrails protecting the railway crossing over the Ma-13 road in Inca.

These actions, which have been completed ahead of schedule, had an overall budget of 71,246.39 euros (VAT excluded).
