The Conference approved an agreement, with the Balearic Islands Government voting in favour, for the distribution of resources for the digital transformation and modernisation of the administration of the autonomous communities, from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan for the 2022 and 2023 financial years, for which the islands will receive a total of 13.6 million euros.

Specifically, the islands will receive €5,702,814 between this year and next year for policies to modernise and digitise the administration, and €7,967,920 for projects aimed at digital transformation in the health sector.

In the first case, the objectives will be to promote a citizen-oriented administration, the use of intelligent automation technologies, democratising access to data for citizens, equip administrations with technological infrastructures and guarantee cybersecurity.

The second block of resources will focus on various aspects such as improving operability, the developing of new digital services and the promotion of data analytics and the exploitation of information in the National Health System.

Specifically, priority will be given to actions that provide primary care health centres with digital services, improve personalised patient care and promote the digital transformation of non-healthcare management services.

In this way, the Government will manage these resources focused on the efficient provision of public services and their potential for the transformation of the productive fabric, growth and the well-being of citizens.

The aim is to make the administration more accessible to citizens throughout the territory, modernise the different processes, reinforce the training of all public workers and streamline all administrative procedures.

The councillor has valued this agreement positively because “it allows us to continue to strengthen public services and to promote quality services, with the aim of helping citizens in whatever they need”.
