Next weekend, Inca celebrates the traditional festivities of the Sant Francesc neighbourhood. The Mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno; the Councillor for Participation, Andreu Caballero; along with local residents have presented the programme of activities for this celebration, after two years without being able to take place due to COVID-19.

“With the Sant Francesc festivities, we put an end to the season of neighbourhood festivities, which this year have been launched again thanks to the collaboration and involvement of the citizens of the neighbourhood. The good reception of these celebrations shows that Inca is a lively and dynamic municipality”, Caballero points out.
Thus, the festivities of the Sant Francesc neighbourhood will begin on the 1st of October with a parade with the Caparrots de Inca and the Batucada Renou de Inca. Afterwards, on Saturday at 7 pm, workshops and children’s activities will be held in calle Fray Pere Joan Cerdà.
This will be followed by the traditional open-air dinner, with a toaster service. During the day of brotherhood, there will be live music by “Josephine’s Trio.
Finally, on 4th October, the convent of San Francisco will host a mass on the occasion of the feast of St. Francis.
