The Balearic Islands Agricultural and Fisheries Guarantee Fund (FOGAIBA), an agency of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, paid out 3.4 million euros in aid to the agricultural, fisheries, livestock and agri-food sectors in September. This mainly involves aid from the Rural Development Programme Service (RDP), the State Aid and CMO Service, CAP aid and aid for fisheries.

Balearic Island receives more than 3.4 million euros
FOGAIBA pays more than 3.4 million euros in aid to the primary and agri-food sector in the Balearic Islands during the month of September
The RDP aid paid out this September totals 2,490,072.61 euros. These include aid for investments in agricultural holdings totalling 1,266,263.56 euros, aid for the creation of companies by young farmers totalling 536,790 euros, aid for organic farming totalling 285,943.56 euros, and aid for investments in forest ecosystems, totalling 232,680.65 euros.
With regard to aid from the State Aid and CMO Service, 864,391.44 euros have been paid, of which 326,585.95 euros correspond to aid for livestock health protection groups, 364,392.15 euros in aid to the professional agricultural sector, 117,691.56 euros for investments in slaughterhouses and 39,150.90 euros in aid for drought relief for livestock feed.
Finally, 92,181.08 euros have also been paid from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and 3,940.45 euros in aid for Fisheries.
In total, FOGAIBA has paid 35.7 million euros in aid to the primary and agri-food sector in the Balearic Islands during the first nine months of 2022 and more than 200 million euros this term of office.
