The functionalities simplify the user experience

Thus, among the main functionalities is the simplification of adding a new layer of information. Previously, you had to open the list and select the one you wanted to display, but with the improvements, the list will be open by default. Likewise, it will be possible to share or save the map with the loaded layers through a button, facilitating later consultation.

Another new feature is the loading of external files in Geographic Markup Language (GML) format, such as those of the General Directorate of Cadastre. Likewise, the image printing tool has been improved and from now on it will be possible to download geo-references to be able to work with them from Geographic Information Systems.

To facilitate the consultation of the various elements, the name assigned to them has been changed: until now, the name assigned to the metadata was displayed, and from now on they have been given an alias. A new tool has also been added to zoom in on a rectangular area.

Finally, it should be noted that the IDEIB viewer has been linked to the Google Street View service, so that the selected point on the map can be consulted as if it were on the street and not only from the satellite view as before.

It should be remembered that SITIBSA has been incorporating services to make it easier for citizens to consult data and maps, such as the download service or the visualisation of the Government’s open data.
