The Department of Transition, Tourism and Sports, through the club, will carry out actions and campaigns on sporting values, the fight against violence and harassment in sports, and diversity and equality, among others.

The Executive Council of the Consell de Mallorca has approved the start of the sports sponsorship dossier with RCD Mallorca, which will be carried out during the 2022-2023 sports season, through the Department of Transition, Tourism and Sports.

The initial approval of the dossier has been the first step to start working with the sports club. From now on, the actions and campaigns will be specified, as well as other issues related to the dissemination of messages of public interest to the citizens of Mallorca. The amount with which the island institution plans to support the club is a maximum of 1,815,000 euros (VAT included).

With this sponsorship, the Consell Insular de Mallorca, through the Department of Transition, Tourism and Sports, aims to transmit to Mallorcan society and abroad content related to sporting values, the fight against violence and harassment in sports, the culture of Mallorca, local products, craftsmanship and traditions of the island, sustainability, diversity and equality. In this sense, RCD Mallorca is considered to be an avenue with qualitative and quantitative tools for this.

With regard to CD Atlético Baleares, once the proposal presented by the club has been reviewed and by mutual agreement, steps have been taken to ensure that the collaboration with the Consell can be expressed through advertising media. This mechanism is already in place with other clubs of higher categories in Mallorca, according to the majority mandate of the Plenary of the island institution.
