The flu vaccination campaign has begun for new groups of the population who only received the flu vaccine and were not included in the simultaneous vaccination campaign (flu + COVID-19) because they did not have to receive a booster dose of COVID-19.

These groups are the following: essential non-health personnel (law enforcement agencies, fire brigades, civil protection services, workers in penitentiary institutions and other internment centres…); workers directly exposed to birds and birds of prey; workers with direct exposure to birds and birds of prey; workers with direct exposure to birds and birds of prey…. ); workers directly exposed to poultry or pigs in poultry or pig farms and also to wild birds; children aged 6 months to 4 years with risk conditions; children aged 6 to 24 months with a history of prematurity of fewer than 32 weeks gestation; children and adolescents (aged 6 months to 18 years) on prolonged treatment with acetylsalicylic acid and childcare workers aged 0 to 5 years.

To facilitate access to influenza vaccination and increase coverage, these groups can be vaccinated with or without an appointment. To get vaccinated with an appointment, they can call the Infovacuna telephone number (971 211 999) or ask for an appointment at the health centre. To get vaccinated without an appointment, you can go to the following points:

In Mallorca, at any of the four mass vaccination points open: Son Dureta and Espacio Francesc Quetglas, in Palma; the former General Luque barracks, in Inca; and COVID Exprés in Manacor, between 8:30 am and 7:30 pm.

In Menorca, at the health centres, on Fridays from 12 noon to 1 pm.

In Ibiza: at the vaccination point in building J of the Hospital Can Misses (Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 3 pm), CS Sant Antoni (Monday to Friday, from 3:30 pm to 8 pm and Saturdays, from 9 am to 2 pm) and CS Santa Eulària des Riu (Monday to Friday, from 12 to 2 pm).

In Formentera: in the Hospital de Formentera (Monday to Friday, from 15.15 to 17.00 and Saturdays, from 10 to 13 h).

Keep in mind that the self-appointment system BITCITA is reserved only for people taxed to receive the bivalent vaccination (against influenza and COVID-19) that are still pending vaccination.
