For this reason, next Monday’s Governing Council will approve the granting of a direct subsidy to the OCB to finance activities for the project to commemorate the organisation’s sixtieth anniversary. The amount, with a maximum of €80,126, will be distributed in two annual instalments: €31,100 for 2022 and €49,026 for 2023.

The organisation is commemorating its 60th anniversary and has developed the project “OCB_60 years: Memory, challenges and connections”, a programme of activities which, among other aims, is aimed at reinforcing its main objectives, which refer to promoting cultural and linguistic heritage, improving attitudes to ensure its transmission, and promoting culture as an essential element for social cohesion, dialogue and coexistence.

The Government collaborates with Obra Cultural Balear in actions such as the campaign “Justice, also in Catalan” and works together with the organisation to recover and protect its historical archive.
