Inca’s Teatre Principal hosted the last activity of IncaBusiness 2022, which was given by the mountaineer, engineer and emotional coach Edurne Pasabán. Entitled “Expedition to success”, the public’s interest in Pasabán was demonstrated by a packed Sala Grande. In fact, the 560 tickets sold out almost immediately.
The talk, sponsored by Empenta – Business Network and organised by the Inca City Council, began with a tribute to Bernardí Seguí, who was the head of marketing and institutional relations at Sa Nostra, and who left us last August at the age of 67. Seguí was a great defender of Mallorca’s culture, nature and landscape, and was one of the driving forces behind the IncaBusiness series of business talks through the SECOT association of senior professionals.

To pay tribute to him, a video was shown in which there were several witnesses of his life’s trajectory. Afterwards, the Mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno, made a brief speech in honour of him, and his relatives went on stage to receive gifts from the Town Hall (a plaque, a siurell and a bouquet of flowers). Finally, his daughter, Marina Seguí, gave some emotional words of thanks.

Then, Pasabán, who thrilled the whole audience of the Principal, gave way to Edurne Pasabán. Edurne Pasabán was the first woman to crown the 14 highest mountains on the planet, which form part of the “eight thousand” of the Himalayas and Karakorum, and is a reference in elite sport, high competition, business and training.

The talk concluded with a question and answer session, in which the audience showed great interest in the athlete’s story, with mental health, self-improvement and feminism as the backbone. Pasabán spoke without prejudice about depression, the difficulties faced by women both in the world of sport and in the business world, and even more so when added to motherhood.
