The Plan covers a total of 23,300 hectares between the following areas: LIC/ZEPA ES0000074 Cap de Cala Figuera, LIC ES5310128 Cap Enderrocat and Cap Blanc, ZEPA ES0000081 Cap Enderrocat – Cap Blanc, LIC ES5310103 Àrea marina de Cala Figuera and LIC/ZEPA ES0000228 Cap de ses Salines and aims to have a management tool to ensure the conservation of these areas, as established by the European Habitats Directive.

All these areas have a high environmental value. The cliff and dune habitats stand out (including the beaches of Es Dolç, Es Carbó, Ses Roques, Es Caragol, Cala S’Almunia and Portals Vells), as well as extensive forest areas of pine and wild olive groves. It is also notable for the presence of habitats with more limited distribution, such as temporary ponds.

As for the flora, there are numerous endemic species such as Petalophyllum ralfsii, Marsilea strigosa and Diplotaxis ibicensis. Numerous bird species of Community interest are present in the area, especially in the SCI and SPA of Cap de Cala Figuera, Cap Enderrocat and Cap Blanc.

The marine part partially coincides with the Marine Reserve of the Bay of Palma. In the sea, the posidonia meadows and reefs are included.

The measures established in the plan are also aimed at avoiding the deterioration of the natural habitats and the habitats of the species that live there, as well as the alterations that have repercussions on the species that have motivated the designation of these areas as SCIs.
