The Balearic Water Agency has awarded the company CIOPU S.L. the contract for drafting the project to expand and improve treatment at the Consell Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) for €78,045 (VAT included). The total execution period is six and a half months.
The planned works will double the treatment capacity of the WWTP to 914 m3/day, serving a maximum of 7,236 people. At present, the facilities can treat up to 437 m3/day and serve a maximum population of 3,776 people.
This action is partially financed by the European Union through the Next Generation Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Mechanism (RRM) fund. The budget allocated is €755,465 and comes from the programme to improve wastewater treatment for municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants.
