A medical vehicle at the Andratx health centre

The Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs has set up a medicalised vehicle with the capacity to attend to life-threatening emergencies at the Andratx health centre as a result of the closure of the Son Vic tunnel. The device will be active from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm and is made up of three health professionals: a doctor, a nurse and a health emergency technician. This has been approved by the SAMU-061 management to guarantee immediate attention in the event of life-threatening emergencies for the 11,000 people registered in this municipality in the Serra de Tramuntana.

The Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs also reminds us that, at the same time, the same health centre already has a 24-hour basic life-support ambulance that will continue to serve the area.

The situation will be monitored week by week to adjust the devices to the demand of the municipality, according to the statistics of actions handled by SAMU 061.
