Vocational Training
\ One of the aims of the Congress is to show the relevance of the modernisation of vocational training in the Balearic Islands.
The Regional Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and the Regional Ministry of Economic Model, Tourism and Labour are organising the Vocational Training Congress of the Balearic Islands to be held on 27 and 28 January 2023 at the Ramis Factory in Inca.
This is a further step in the process of promoting vocational training studies in the Balearic Islands and throughout Spain. Currently, vocational training is playing an increasingly important role in education systems. In fact, in recent years there has been an intense process of renewal of vocational training, a process focused on contributing to the modernisation of the productive system by providing the professional profiles that companies require.
The main objectives of this Congress are:
- To show the relevance of the modernisation of vocational training in the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands as the driving force behind a new model for economic and social growth.
-To debate on the challenges, perspectives and impact of VET on the labour market.
-To facilitate the exchange of information and the dissemination of training experiences and innovative projects identified as good practices.
Over two days, the Congress will feature presentations, workshops and activities, as well as two round tables. Current issues such as the challenges of vocational training, the 2nd Comprehensive Vocational Training Plan and the importance of guidance will be discussed. Clara Sanz, Secretary General for Vocational Training at the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, will speak on the latter topic.
The workshops will focus on aspects such as the academic and professional guidance points (POAP), the Balearic Islands Employment Service (SOIB), the applied technology classrooms (ATECA), the entrepreneurship classrooms in vocational training and the Acredita Plan of the Balearic Islands Professional Qualifications Institute (IQPIB).
