Llabrés Pharmacy

In just 15 days more than a thousand people have visited the emblematic Llabrés Pharmacy. The main reference and one of the few remaining witnesses of modernism in Menorca were inaugurated on 12th January, in a ceremony presided over by HM King Felipe VI and Queen Létitia. The building, owned by the Hesperia Foundation, has been restored by this entity respecting its historical and architectural values. It has also benefited from the collaboration of the Island Council of Menorca and the restoration teams have taken charge of the important original furniture. With this action, the Hesperia Foundation wanted to give space to the Foundation for people with disabilities, but it has also directed the action in the town of Ciutadella.

The visitors have come in groups of a maximum of 15 people, and the opening hours are from 10 am to 1 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm on weekdays, and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. They are offered free of charge until 30 April 2023.

The Board of Directors of the Foundation values the data very positively, for the cultural aspect that supposes to return the building in Ciutadella, but emphasizing the inclusive aspect, a space without communicative barriers for the people with functional diversity. The Foundation has worked on the project to achieve the maximum objective of inclusion: not only to adapt the place and the cultural visit to the visitors but also to foresee the maximum adaptation for people with disabilities who do work.
