The private residence Coliseé in Eivissa

1) The Government, through the Department of Social Affairs and Sports and the Department of Health and Consumer Affairs, and in defence of the users of the centre, and as soon as we were informed, we urged the Island Council of Eivissa to inspect the Coliseé residence in Santa Eulària del Riu in response to the content of the complaints. The inspection service of the Consell de Eivissa has been urged to verify the facts and to take the necessary measures they consider appropriate within their competence. It is the Consell de Eivissa which has the competencies, which at the time authorised this residence and which has the margin of inspection, action and sanction.

2) The health representatives have already held meetings with the relatives and the Conselleria de Asuntos Sociales y Deportes has contacted the relatives and there has been a meeting with the company in order to communicate the complaints. The company has informed the relatives that it has presented them with an action plan to reverse the situation.

3) The Regional Ministry of Social Affairs and Sports has placed in this residence but it has no more margin for action than what it has done and in any case, and if so contemplated by the inspection, to revoke the administrative agreement with the company, which would mean stopping the income and relocating the users in other centres.

4) From the Conselleria we expect quick action from the Consell and the company to solve the situation.
