ASINEM installers and Education

The Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Martí March, and the president of the Association of Business Installers of the Balearic Islands (ASINEM), Francisco-Javier Piña Reynés, today signed a collaboration agreement that regulates advice, sponsorship and training for teachers of the vocational training professional families of Electricity and Electronics, Installation and Maintenance, Energy and Water, Maritime and Fishing, and Transport and Maintenance of Vehicles by ASINEM. In addition, ASINEM will disseminate professional accreditations among its associates.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Director General of Vocational Training and Higher Artistic Education, Antoni Baos, and Mayra Argüelles, manager of the association.

Both March and Piña were very positive about the signing of this agreement. They both highlighted the good moment that VET studies are going through and the need that companies have for qualified workers. “The agreement must serve to improve the connection between installation companies and vocational training centres”, said March, “and to disseminate these trades, which have a wide range of employment opportunities, among students, teachers and, in particular, guidance counsellors”.

ASINEM, by virtue of the agreement, undertakes not only to provide training adapted for vocational training teachers, to reserve seating for them in the workshops it organises, to disseminate the accreditation and enrolment procedures for the cycles covered by the agreement and to inform its associates of the steps to follow to take on students in workplace training (FCT).

For its part, the Regional Ministry of Education and Vocational Training undertakes to advise ASINEM members on how to register for professional accreditation procedures and to publicise ASINEM’s participation in Balearskills, among other things.
