Menorca, through this PSTD, seeks to renew itself in order to regenerate the urban areas, through the modernisation of the facilities and infrastructures of the island’s tourist developments and sectors, in accordance with the sustainable values of our declaration as a Biosphere Reserve.

Thus, the programme of actions is aimed at the modernisation and integral transformation towards sustainability, energy efficiency, digitalisation and the competitiveness of Menorca as a tourist destination.

The actions foreseen in this call are part of the set of actions that form part of the Island Council’s Tourism Area Modernisation Plan, drawn up on the basis of the needs detected during the diagnostic phase and which are agreed with the island’s town councils.
Specifically, the following initiatives are planned for this call:

Ciutadella:

Improvements for the environment related to the rehabilitation of the sewage, rainwater and water supply system, energy efficiency and the urban environment of Cala’n Blanes, Calas Piques, Los Delfines and Torre del Ram.
Energy efficiency improvements to Cala Blanca, Son Carrió and Serpentona.
