Once again this year, the Consell Insular de Eivissa, in collaboration with the Agrupación Astronómica de Eivissa (AAE), is organising a new cycle of sky observations at the Observatorio de ses Païsses de Cala d’Hort.

This new cycle will allow the observation, among other things, of the Orion nebula, star clusters, the Andromeda galaxy and the Pleiades group.

Given the interest in this activity and the numerous requests for participation received each year, places have been increased to 35 participants per observation for this new cycle.

As always, the planned observing activities are free of charge, although registration is compulsory. As access by private vehicle is not permitted, the bus will pick up participants one hour before the start of the observation at the headquarters of the Consell Insular de Eivissa (Avenida de España, 49, Eivissa), where they will return at the end of the activity.

For information and bookings, anyone interested can send an e-mail to archivoimatgeiso@gmail.com, indicating the name and surname of the people attending as well as the contact telephone number. A maximum of two participants per registration, with the exception of single-family units. Registrations will be made in the order in which the e-mails are received.

The registration period for the planned observations will be open on the following dates:

8 July, at 11 p.m., the registration period open from 1 to 3 July inclusive.

9 September at 10 p.m., registration period open from 2 to 4 September inclusive.

23 September at 10 p.m., registration period open from 16 to 18 September inclusive.
