The Fundación Fomento del Turismo de Menorca (FFTM), through the Menorca Film Commission, is participating in the seventh edition of the international professional market Conecta Fiction & Entertainment, an event dedicated to the creation, development, production, financing, broadcasting, marketing and commercialisation of television content, in Toledo from Monday until tomorrow, Thursday.

Menorca Film Commission

The presentation of ‘Faváritx’, the first series made in Menorca, created by Empatic Comunicació with the participation of the Foment del Turisme Foundation and the Menorca Film Commission, took place on Tuesday. In fact, this local production has been one of the 30 selected to be screened at the event from among more than 311 proposals.

The series is taking part in one of the pitching sessions at the event, specifically in the Copro Series category, during which the projects selected by the editorial committees are presented to all the executives who attend on behalf of television networks, television production companies and production companies.

In addition, the creators of these selected projects are facilitated to hold meetings with each of the executives who may be interested in co-producing them.

The editorial committee that selects the projects is made up of top executives and industry experts such as Audrey Kamga (Art France), José Fragoso (RTP), Carolina Sofía den Bass (Entertainment Art) and Jorge Ortiz de Landázuri (Movistar), among others.

The FFTM stressed that this presentation showcased the island’s talent and creativity in the film industry, as well as underlining that Menorca’s participation in this event represents a great opportunity for the growth and projection of Menorca in the film industry.
