The Fundació Teatre Principal de Palma and the Fundació “la Caixa” through CaixaBank have signed a collaboration agreement that aims to facilitate access to enjoy the performing arts to people at risk of social exclusion, an initiative that is part of the #PrincipalSocial project.
The signing of this agreement was attended by the vice president and councillor of Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca; the director of the Teatre Principal, Josep R. Cerdà; the director of Institutional Banking, Silvio P. Sarralde; the director of the CaixaBank branch of Jaime III, Sebastià Reynés and the head of Social Action of CaixaBank in the Balearic Islands, Diego Riera.
The Fundació “la Caixa” will contribute 5,000 euros to the project, which will be channelled through the Social Action of CaixaBank, which will allow 1,000 beneficiaries to attend the various functions of the programming of the Teatre Principal.
Thanks to this amount, the beneficiaries will be able to attend shows at the Teatre Principal, both through the Apropa program, as well as directly manage the attendance with the mediation services of the Principal.
The #PrincipalSocial project plans to work to consolidate the Teatre Principal as an adapted and accessible space and as an environment for reflection for different groups and organizations. One of the main objectives is to promote the social impact of music, theater, dance and circus, as well as to encourage creators, managers, companies and artistic groups to collaborate with people at risk of social exclusion.
