Eloy Villalba

Born in Seville in 1986, Eloy Villalba holds a degree in Nursing from the University of Seville, an MBA (master of business administration) and an Executive MBA from EAE Business School. He also holds a master’s degree in Emergency Medicine from the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine (SEMES) and the Catholic University of San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM).

Professionally, Eloy Villalba began his career in private healthcare in the Emergency Unit of the USP Palmaplanas Hospital. He joined the Health Service in 2008 (first at the Hospital Universitario Son Llàtzer and then at SAMU 061). From the health management side, he has worked, first, as director of nursing at the Juaneda Miramar Hospital (2016-2018), since 2019 as director of nursing at SAMU 061 and since 2021 as managing director.

During his time as head of the Management, together with his management team, have launched the coordination devices to deal with the pandemic generated by COVID-19; have promoted the transfer of SAMU 061 to new facilities and initiated the process of creating a new base of 061 in Formentera. They have also managed the renewal of the entire fleet of ambulances in the Balearic Islands and has launched the simulation classroom for professionals.
