The exceptional process of stabilization by competitive examination of civil servants of the CAIB and the Tax Agency of the Balearic Islands
A total of 882 people have taken today the exams corresponding to the exceptional process of stabilization by competitive examination of civil servants of the CAIB and the Tax Agency of the Balearic Islands (ATIB).
A total of 2167 people were summoned. In Menorca, also for the CAIB Senior Corps (A1), there were 26 candidates called and 13 were presented. As for the CAIB Management Corps (A2), all the positions called were in Mallorca, and a total of 782 people were called, of which 201 were finally presented.
As for the ATIB, 56 applicants were summoned to Mallorca for the Senior Corps (A1) and 12 applied. As for the Management Corps (A2), 14 applicants were summoned in Eivissa and 8 applied.
The candidates were summoned at 10 am this morning at the headquarters of the UIB in Mallorca and Eivissa and at the Joan Ramis Institute in Menorca. The candidates to the higher bodies had to take an exam of 120 questions in a time of 160 minutes. The exams for the management bodies had 100 questions to answer in a maximum time of 135 minutes.
The director of the Balearic School of Public Administration (EBAP), Violeta Rodríguez, has emphasized that the tests have been carried out “with absolute normality and without remarkable incidents”.
As for the positions called, 30 are for the Superior Corps of the CAIB (29 in Mallorca and one in Menorca) and 3 are for the Management Corps of the CAIB in Mallorca. Regarding the vacancies of the ATIB, 1 is for the Senior Corps (A1) in Mallorca and 1 is for the Management Corps (A2) in Eivissa.
The director of the EBAP explained that today’s exams correspond to a competitive examination to which “anyone with the requirements could apply” and that this exam represents “60% of the grade” and the other 40% is weighted through merits or experience.
Violeta Rodríguez was satisfied with the work done. “We are very calm with the work that has been done. These two weeks the tribunals have reviewed question by question that were correct to ensure that the tests did not have any kind of error or invalidity”. He added that “in any case there are always reserve questions”.
The director of the Balearic School of Public Administration was also asked about the controversy that occurred a year and a half ago with the previous executive about the exams. Violeta Rodríguez has assured that the bag of questions was made in a very fast way. “It was decided on July 2022 and it had to be done in three months, which was very complicated”. He has added that during these months “it has been found that there were questions that were not correct, they were initially tried to save, but the bag was so wide that it was decided that at the time when the exams were generated would be when it would be solved. I think we have succeeded”.
