The Balearic Islands Agricultural and Fisheries Guarantee Fund (FOGAIBA), a body under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, paid out 544,885.56 euros in aid to the agricultural, fisheries, livestock and agri-food sectors in August. This mainly involves aid from the Rural Development Programme Service, the State Aid and CMO Service and aid for fisheries.

RDP aid paid in August totalled 356,999.57 euros. This includes 175,734.24 euros for non-productive investment aid, 68,643.28 euros for aid for organic livestock farming, 50,847.61 euros for investment in agricultural holdings, 26,093.48 euros for short marketing chains, 21,930.96 euros for investments in processing and marketing, and 13,750 euros for the creation of companies by young farmers.
As for aid from the State Aid and CMO Service, 101,802.82 euros have been paid, of which 67,591.62 euros for the promotion of indigenous breeds and 30,691.10 euros for agricultural insurance. Finally, 86,083.17 euros have also been paid for fisheries aid.
In total, FOGAIBA has paid out more than 32 million euros in aid to the primary and agri-food sector in the Balearic Islands during the first eight months of 2022 and more than 200 million euros during this legislature.
