Registered unemployment falls in all Autonomous Communities. In absolute terms, the biggest falls were in Andalusia (-69,159 persons), Catalonia (-37,548 persons) and the Canary Islands (-20,374).
The number of contracts registered during the month of July was 1,838,250. Of this total, 165,500 contracts were of an indefinite nature, which represents 9% of all contracts.
The permanent contracts in July are divided, in terms of the duration of their working day, into 101,178 full-time contracts, which have increased by 21.77% compared to July 2020, and 64,322 part-time contracts, which have increased by 10.87% compared to the previous year.
In cumulative terms, the number of full-time permanent contracts between January and July 2021 totalled 699,481, 28.17% more than in the same period in 2020.
The remaining contracts, up to a total of 1,838,250, are 13,880 training contracts and 1,658,870 other types of temporary contracts. Within the latter group, temporary contracts due to circumstances of production (full-time) stand out with 28.96%, followed by contracts for specific works or services (full-time) with 23.33% of the total number of contracts.
Benefits in June
Existing beneficiaries at the end of the month were 1,957,244 with a decrease compared to the same month of the previous year of 50.8%.
Total expenditure in June 2021 amounted to 2,064.9 million euros, which is 50.7% less than the same month last year.
The average monthly expenditure per beneficiary, not including the agricultural subsidy in Andalusia and Extremadura, in June 2021 was €1,082.1, which represents an increase of €16 (1.5%) over the same month of the previous year.
Total expenditure on ERTE benefits in June amounted to 427 million euros.
