Inca celebrates European Mobility Week and promotes the use of more sustainable means of transport among children.

The events have been attended by more than 1,000 pupils in the 5th year of primary school and 1st year of ESO from Inca’s schools.

For yet another year, Inca City Council has joined European Mobility Week and organised a series of events, especially aimed at children. This initiative aims to raise awareness of the health and environmental benefits of using more sustainable means of transport such as cycling and walking.

‘In this way, we are once again demonstrating our commitment to sustainable urban mobility and energy efficiency. The main objective of the actions is to raise public awareness of the need to reduce the use of private motorised vehicles to achieve a less polluted and healthier city,’ said the Mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno.

Thus, a day aimed at students of 1st of ESO of the centres of Inca has been carried out in the streets of the city centre, which has had the participation of more than 600 students. Throughout the morning, the Raiguer Town Council organised workshops, circuits and activities to raise awareness of sustainable urban mobility and road safety education, with the collaboration of the Inca Local Police and the Sports Service.
