A Majorcan fire brigade departs for Valencia
The heavy rains have caused severe flooding in several areas of the Valencian Community, leaving fatalities, missing persons and numerous localities flooded. In response to this tragedy, the local emergency services have requested additional support to intensify rescue and relief efforts. In response, the Majorca Fire Brigade has organised a deployment that includes three specialised trucks: a Heavy Rural Pump (BRP), a Light Forest Pump (BFL) and a Logistics and Emergency Support Unit (FUD), as well as three Light All Terrain Vehicles (TML) and a command vehicle, prepared to facilitate coordination on the ground. These resources have been selected to meet the specific needs of the emergency and to reinforce the response to complex situations.
This mobilisation responds to the commitment of the Firefighters of Mallorca to support other autonomous communities when they need it most, strengthening the bonds of collaboration between emergency services and providing direct support to the families and people affected.
As a show of support for this mission, Hiper Centro de Inca has donated food and drinks for the entire contingent, ensuring that our firefighters have what they need during their intervention in Valencia.
