Due to the success of the initiative, the island institution is launching a new trip to the ski resorts of Andorra, from 23rd to 28th March.
The Consell de Mallorca has received 785 applications for the second edition of the ‘Young People in the Snow’ programme, almost twice as many as last year (442). For this reason, the island institution has decided to increase the number of places available. Thus, there will no longer be three, but four trips to Andorra during February and March. The new deadline for new registrations will be announced next week.

785 young people: record number of registrations in the second edition of the Consell de Mallorca’s ‘Young people in the snow’ programme
This initiative, organised by the island’s Department of Youth and Participation and aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 30 who live in Mallorca, aims to offer an experience in the snow that combines sport, leisure and socialising.
The programme will finally have a total of 244 places, which will be distributed in four different shifts according to the age of the participants. The dates of the outings are 2 to 7 February, 9 to 14 February and two from 23 to 28 March.
The councillor for the Presidency, Toni Fuster, stated that ‘the great acceptance of these activities has been demonstrated, as registrations have doubled compared to last year’s edition. For this reason, we are launching a new outing and celebrating the great reception of this initiative, which has been requested by various youth groups’.
The six-day, five-night stays will take place on the ski slopes of Andorra, specifically at the Pal Arinsal ski resort. The Consell de Mallorca will cover 70 % of the total cost, so the final price will be 287.82 euros per participant. This amount includes all the main expenses: return flights, land transport, full board accommodation, equipment hire, ski passes, ski lessons, organised activities and insurance.
