The contact telephone number is now 900 178 989, free of charge.
All the service’s information material will be available in English, German, Arabic, Chinese, Braille, and in reading format to facilitate cognitive accessibility.
As of today, the contact telephone number for the 24-hour comprehensive care service for victims of male violence is 900 178 989. The Institut Balear de la Dona (IBDONA) has implemented this measure to offer victims, the people around them, and professionals the possibility of contacting the service, which also maintains the number 971 178 989, free of charge. The action aims to improve the accessibility of the service, which each year deals with an average of between 4,500 and 5,000 calls and provides care to around 3,000 women victims of male violence. The councillor for Families and Social Affairs, Catalina Cirer, and the director of IBDONA, Catalina Salom, presented the new features at a press conference today.
