The organisation has definitively resolved this call to promote both the growth and internationalisation of Balearic culture.

The Institut d’Indústries Culturals de les Illes Balears (Institute of Cultural Industries of the Balearic Islands) has definitively resolved a call for subsidies aimed at the international projection of audiovisual projects. This aid, in addition to multiplying the cultural impact of the sector beyond its territory of origin, serves to boost its capacity for development through contact with the international markets of this discipline. In the same way that it boosts the international exposure of completed works, this subsidy also encourages the export of proposals in the pre-production phase. The aim is to reinforce the sector’s capacity to develop solvent, sustainable and quality projects.

The ICIB awards a total of 150,000 euros for the international projection of up to 11 audiovisual projects from the territory

On this occasion, the ICIB has exhausted the total credit foreseen for this call. And, therefore, it has granted 150,000 euros to support up to 11 audiovisual works. An amount that the beneficiaries of this call must justify within ten working days from the day following the publication of this resolution in the BOIB (Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands).

It should be noted that, in the case of completed works, projects can cover their expenses in areas such as attendance at festivals or promotional activities to support their impact at competitions. On the other hand, works in pre-production can use this grant to facilitate their presence in co-production forums, residency programmes or audiovisual incubators. In other words, to finance their search for financing, co-production or the sale of their product.
