Marco Táboas, current Managing Director of the Mallorca Tourism Foundation (FMT), will now be the new island director of Tourism for Demand and Hospitality, replacing Susanna Sciacovelli, who is returning to the private sector to take on new professional challenges.
Táboas is a specialist in digital transformation, strategic leadership, and innovation in the tourism and industrial sectors. Throughout his professional career, he has held various roles in business consulting, leadership and projects, sales, and marketing.

He has been the Managing Director of FMT since December 2024 and has been leading Selina Hotels as Regional and Commercial Director EMEA since April 2024.
Previously, he has held positions at Ávoris Corporación Empresarial as online director of the OTA’s Division; Innovation and Digital Transformation consultant at Inetum; director of Strategic Innovation and Transformation at Yoidata; director of Innovation and Digital Transformation at Hierros y Aceros de Mallorca; Head of Digital at Halcón Viajes; founder and general director at Promo Turismo; director of international sales at Spanair, among others.
Táboas replaces Susanna Sciacovelli, who is returning to the private sector to take on new professional challenges at an international level. Sciacovelli, who was appointed by the Minister of Tourism, Marcial Rodriguez, in June 2023, has expressed her gratitude to the president of the Consell, Llorenc Galmés, and Rodriguez for the trust placed in her during her tenure.
In this sense, she stressed that she is proud of the work she has done throughout her term of office, and emphasised her gratitude for the collaboration received from the tourism sector, as well as the board of trustees and the foundation’s team.
