The concession will improve the management of rainwater and minimise its impact on the port environment.
The Board of Directors of PortsIB has approved the administrative concession requested by the Ses Salines Town Council for the installation of a rainwater drainage system in the port of Colònia de Sant Jordi.
This action will optimise the management of rainwater in the port area, incorporating measures to reduce its environmental impact and improve drainage efficiency.

The project includes the installation of two discharge points for the rainwater drainage network and the installation of a hydrocarbon separator to ensure that the water reaching the sea meets the required environmental standards.
In total, the area granted within the public port domain for the execution of these infrastructures is 374.41 m².
The concession, granted for 35 years, establishes that the works must be carried out within a maximum period of four months from the start of the works and that, once the concession has ended, the facilities will revert to PortsIB. Furthermore, conditions have been set to ensure that the works do not interfere with the operation of the port or maritime traffic.
This initiative reinforces cooperation between administrations to improve key infrastructures in the ports of the Balearic Islands, ensuring efficient and sustainable management of the coastline.
