The restoration of the terrace and various beautification works, among other actions, are currently being processed.
The Mallorca Equestrian Sports Institute (IEHM), a body under the Consell de Mallorca, will invest a total of 548,000 euros in various projects to improve and adapt the facilities of the Manacor Hippodrome, including restoration work on the terrace and around the new bar, as well as beautification work in different areas.

The Consell de Mallorca invests 548.00 euros in refurbishment, rehabilitation and conditioning works of the facilities of the Manacor Hippodrome
Specifically, the restoration of the terrace and the stall around the new bar is currently in the process of being processed, with an investment of approximately 340,000 euros. In addition, in the first half of 2025, various beautification works will be carried out, such as the painting of different areas of the facilities, which will cost approximately 40,000 euros. In this way, the total investment in 2025 for infrastructure improvements amounts to 380,000 euros.
The second vice-president and Minister for the Environment, Rural Affairs and Sports, Pedro Bestard, has highlighted the ‘good management that IEHM is carrying out at the Manacor Hippodrome, to maintain its facilities in better condition and, in this way, continue to promote and support the activity of trotting in Mallorca, where it is so deeply rooted’.
Foundation and drainage project
Another of the projects currently being processed is a valuation study for the tendering of a project for the foundations and construction of drains in the horse boxes and stables, for an approximate amount of 120,000 euros, with work scheduled to begin in 2026.
In this way, the chapter of investments for actions to be carried out at the Manacor racecourse this year and in 2026 will exceed 500,000 euros, to which must be added another 48,000 euros for the cost of the renovation of the arena of the competition track that was carried out in 2024.
In total, investment actions amounting to 548,000 euros are accounted for, which demonstrates, according to councillor Bestard, ‘the firm commitment we are making to promote a sport that is part of our culture’.
It should be noted that the island institution will have an overall budget in 2025 amounting to 4.8 million, which represents an increase of 18.8% compared to 2024.
