The IEB closed the year 2024 with a total of 1,055 files, a figure which, in economic terms, translates into a total value of 4.64 million euros.

Just before publishing the new calls for applications for grants for the year 2025, the Institute of Balearic Studies (IEB) has taken stock of the figures for its activities since the beginning of the legislature up to the present day.

During these months, the IEB has settled the old aid files pending processing since 2018, including the calls for applications for May 2023.

It should be noted that, with these final resolutions, the IEB closed the year 2024 with a total of 1,055 files, a figure which, in economic terms, translates into a total value of 4.64 million euros.

In addition, it should be emphasised that, since the publication of all calls for applications for 2024 was brought forward, it was possible to pay out all applications in 2024 within the same calendar year, a milestone that had never before been achieved at the IEB. On the other hand, the total advance payments for 2024 amounted to 1.18 million euros, with a consequent positive impact on the cultural sector in terms of funding.

These figures are a further step in the plan to improve the management of subsidies established by the IEB, which is currently finalising the new calls for applications for 2025, which are expected to be presented at a press conference on Wednesday 26 February and published in the BOIB the following day, Thursday 27 February.

The new 2025 calls include improvements after having listened to the sector during these months. Among these improvements, it is worth highlighting the simplification of the procedure, the agility in payment and the offer of training in public subsidy management.
