Sa Rueta will feature more than 2,000 participants from the town’s schools.
22 troupes and 15 floats will be the stars of Sa Rua in Inca on the 1st of March.
This year the parade route has been extended and the starting point has been moved to Calle Santiago Rossinyol.
Inca celebrates Carnival this week and, once again this year, the participation, the good atmosphere and the costumes will be the protagonists these days in Inca. As tradition dictates, Sa Rueta is held on Thursday afternoon and Sa Rua on Saturday.

All set for carnival in Inca
Thus, on 27th February, the youngest children in the city will be the stars of Sa Rueta. An event in which practically all the schools in Inca will take part, with the participation of over 2,000 children, dolls, fathers, mothers and teachers. The parade will begin at 4 pm from Plaça Llibertat and will reach Plaça de Mallorca, where there will be a special performance by the group Cucorba.
Afterwards, on the 1st of March, Sa Rua will be held in the capital of Raiguer. In addition, a total of 22 troupes and 15 floats have signed up. This year, at the request of the participants, the route has been extended. Thus, the festival will begin at 6 pm, in the street Santiago Russinyol direction General Luque, Quarter Street, the road to the Cemetery, Fray Junipero Serra Street, Gran Via and continue along the Plaza Llibertat to finish in the Plaza de Mallorca where the awards ceremony will be held.
On Tuesday 4 March, the burial of the sardine will take place with the traditional parade with the GEAI band from the Plaza Libertad to the Plaza del Ganado, the dance of Cofre Antic and the solidarity sardine toast for the benefit of the Únic association, with the participation of the residents’ association.
