Energy transition offices increase enquiries on subsidy procedures by 352%
Requests related to requests for information on calls for energy subsidies from the Directorate General for the Circular Economy, Energy Transition and Climate Change have accumulated 141 queries; followed by queries on files (113) and information on the MELIB electric mobility network (88). In addition, there has been an upturn in advice on electricity bills, with a five-fold increase in queries in one year, from 15 to 74.
The monitoring report indicates that the Energy Transition Office has made 20 visits to 13 locations in Mallorca, Menorca and Eivissa through its travelling office. In addition, awareness-raising activities have been carried out, such as workshops on bills and shared self-consumption. In this sense, it is worth highlighting the dynamics that have allowed adults, young people and families to learn about the services of the IBE and the OTEIB, as well as to approach the energy transition and climate change, as in the Balearic Islands Day in which 200 people were attended.
The OTEIB provides advice to individuals, companies and local administrations on energy matters, accompanies projects and carries out awareness-raising work in the fight against climate change and the commitment to an effective decarbonisation of all activities of the Balearic Islands’ economy. The Office currently has offices in Palma, Manacor, Inca, Ciutadella, Eivissa and Formentera.
