The new call contemplates two demands of the youth entities: the advance of its publication and the anticipated payment of 50% of the aid.
The Consell de Mallorca allocates 450,000 euros to promote youth organisations and associations, an increase of 50,000 euros over last year. This was reported by the Minister of the Presidency, Antoni Fuster, in the plenary session of the Consell, highlighting that this year the call for applications will be brought forward by five months and will allow 50% of the grant to be paid in advance.
These two improvements respond to the demands of youth organisations seeking to streamline management and facilitate access to resources without the associations having to advance their funds. The Councillor of the Presidency explained that it is important to listen to their requests because ‘youth organisations are key to promoting initiatives that respond to the concerns of young people. Their work makes it possible to generate spaces for collaboration and to set up programmes adapted to young people’s needs.

The Consell de Mallorca earmarks 450,000 euros for the promotion of youth associations
The call is structured in two different lines according to the territorial presence of the entities. On the one hand, youth organisations with a presence in five or more municipalities have a total of 185,000 euros, with a maximum of 46,000 euros per application. On the other hand, those entities that do not meet the minimum requirement of presence in five municipalities have an overall allocation of 265,000 euros, with a maximum funding of 11,500 euros per project.
These grants are intended to finance both the activities carried out and the running costs of the youth organisations, including programme staff, general plans of associative action and action projects. The subsidised initiatives must have been carried out in Mallorca between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025.
Interested entities may submit their applications once the call has been published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB), which will detail the requirements and procedures to apply for grants.
