He began his work in the Sender company, dedicated to the production of ships. Linked to Bilbao by marriage, he decided to set up Equimar, a company that designed and built ships. He also began to create a transport network with platforms, tankers and other types of vessels.

His great innovation was to introduce the container transport system in Spain. He created a container factory in Zaragoza and, at the same time, set up a large transport chain, establishing port bases in the most important ports in Spain.

The group created and chaired by the naval engineer and businessman diversified and operated through different companies: Contenemar, Iscomar S.A., Canaria Marítima de Consignaciones S.A., Arguimbau S.A., Tasmar S.A., Marcargo S.A., among others.

Of all the companies, in the Balearic Islands, Iscomar S.A., a consignee and stevedoring company in the Balearic Islands, stands out, which covers inter-island transport, establishing a regular passenger transport line between Alcúdia and Ciutadella.
