Inca begins work on the installation of a photovoltaic pergola at the Palacio Municipal de Deportes (Municipal Sports Hall)
The main objective of this intervention is to modernise and dignify access to the Palacio Municipal de Deportes while promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy. The new solar pergola, which will have an installed power of approximately 20kWp, will generate clean energy for the pavilion’s self-consumption, reducing the carbon footprint and contributing to the sustainability objectives of Inca’s Urban Agenda.
In addition to the installation of the solar pergola, the project includes the demolition of the ticket office and the current access staircase, the extension of the platform and the rearrangement of the stairs. In addition, a new construction will be created to cover the entrance and serve as a support for the solar panels. The refurbishment also includes the relocation of the bar to optimise the space and make this strategic point of the facility more dynamic.
With this initiative, the Inca Town Council reaffirms its commitment to energy transition and the modernisation of municipal infrastructures, committing to sustainable solutions that benefit both citizens and the environment. The works are already underway and are expected to be completed before the end of the year.
