Some twenty students and teachers from Denmark visit Misericordia and take an interest in tourism in Mallorca
This is the first visit made with foreign students to the new facilities of La Misericordia, where all the staff of the Tourism department is located.
During the visit, everyone showed great interest in tourism in Mallorca, and at the end of the visit, each of the students was able to ask the councillor a question about his or her concerns regarding tourism. The topics dealt with the capacity of tourism to create employment and wealth in the region, as well as the externalities created by the activity, in aspects such as access to housing or the use of tourist services.
The students were also very interested to know how the next season would develop as well as the situation of the Danish market in Mallorca. After the question and answer session, the group, led by the teachers, presented a commemorative gift to the councillor as a token of their appreciation.
