Education Ministry Launches Tender for New Santa Eulària Primary School in Ibiza with a Budget of Over €9.5 Million

The Balearic Ministry of Education and Universities, through the Institut Balear d’Infraestructures Educatives (IBISEC), has issued a public tender for the construction of the new Santa Eulària CEIP (Infant and Primary School) in Ibiza, with a contract value of €9,556,050.43. Including waste management fees and a 10% contingency for potential measurement overruns, the total project cost may reach €10,511,527.84.

The budget was increased by 10% following a previous tender that received no bids. This revision was approved in a recent meeting of the Consell de Govern.

New Santa Eulària Primary School in Ibiza

The project includes the construction of a new two-line building for infant and primary education, comprising six classrooms for the second cycle of early childhood education, twelve primary classrooms, and a UEECO classroom (Unit for Specialized Education in Ordinary Contexts) with a capacity for seven students. The facility will accommodate up to 450 pupils, in addition to the students served by the UEECO unit.

The school will be built over 18 months and will feature a main classroom block with a ground floor and two upper stories. It will also include a separate one-story building for administrative offices, a dining hall with a kitchen, and a gymnasium.
