The Inca Town Council will develop a new project over the coming months to renew the paving of streets in the municipality, in order to give continuity to the asphalting plan. The tender is currently in the evaluation phase and the contract is expected to be awarded in the next few weeks for approximately 350,000 euros (VAT excluded).
“This project responds to our firm commitment to continue improving the streets and infrastructures of Inca, with a comprehensive vision that goes beyond asphalting. It is not only about improving the surface of the roads, but also about acting on the network of services to guarantee a more efficient, safe and prepared city for the future”, says the mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno.

Inca will renew the asphalt paving on the Avenida de Alcúdia – General Luque axis
Thus, as part of this new project, the asphalt paving of Avenida General Luque (section between Calle Binissalem and Avenida del Tren); Avenida de Alcúdia (section between Calle Artà and Calle Mateu Pujadas Estrany); Calle Miquel Bisellach (section between Calle Artà and Calle Mateu Pujadas Estrany); Calle Miquel Bisellach (section between Calle Artà and Calle Pujadas Estrany); Calle Miquel Bisellach (section between Calle Artà and Calle Pujadas Estrany); Miquel Bisellach street; Fray Junípero Serra street (section between Gran Via Colom and Virgen de Gracia street); Can Raió street (section between Fray Junípero Serra street and Doctor Fleming street; and Virgen de la Esperanza street (section between Fray Junípero Serra street and Costitx street).
In all these streets and roads, the asphalt pavement is currently in poor condition, having lost its bearing capacity in many places. In fact, there are some points with soft areas, which must be rehabilitated so that the new pavement is well established.
In addition, the contract includes work on the municipal drinking water network, replacing fibre cement pipes to prevent them from breaking in the following streets: Miquel Bisellach, Can Raió, Virgen de la Esperanza and Avinguda d’Alcúdia.
The contract also includes the construction of the roundabout at the intersection of Avenida General Luque with Calle General Weyler and Calle Joan d’Austria, which is currently installed provisionally.
Thus, with this new works contract, the Inca Town Council continues to develop a comprehensive plan to replace the asphalt paving of the streets in the municipality of Inca. Over the last few months and in previous years, different actions have already been carried out on various roads in the municipality and some rural paths.
