The agency is working to keep the largest number of loading points operational during the season, prioritising the municipal supply
The water dispensers for trucks managed by the Balearic Water and Environmental Quality Agency (ABAQUA) have already supplied more than 40,000 cubic metres since their launch last September, with more than 3,000 operations carried out by companies authorised to transport water.
Specifically, up to the end of March, 39,920 m³ had been distributed in a total of 2,942 loads. Since the activation of the first dispenser in Eivissa at the end of September, the average monthly volume has been around 6,000 m³, with a daily average of 200 m³. The busiest day was 16 October, when 600 m³ were reached in a single day.

Abaqua has already supplied more than 40,000 m³ of desalinated water in Eivissa through its dispensers
By quarters, demand has shown some variability. Between October and December 2024, around 20,000 m³ was distributed, while in the first quarter of 2025, around 16,000 m³ was recorded.
Due to connection work on the new section of the high-speed network in Santa Eulària, the Eivissa dispenser, until now the most used, will be out of service from the week of 21 April. It is not expected to be operational again until the end of the season.
The other two dispensers, those at the Santa Eulària and Sant Antoni plants, will remain active as long as production capacity permits and there are no changes in municipal supply needs.
ABAQUA is working on different measures to maintain their availability for as long as possible, with the priority objective of guaranteeing the supply to the town councils.
